The rod holders work great!!! Now I don’t know how long they will last but they look better built than the others I’ve seen online..
Austin –
Well when it gets a fish I promise it will throw there lips into another zip code these things play around
Dirtfishing –
There are several of these on the market. Each one a little different. I have tried 4 different models and this model here is by far the best one. It seems to work great and the trigger is pretty sensitive. The others had mechanical issues or the trigger would not lock in place. These are the ones to get.

Haven’t caught a single fish with this set up yet. False triggered every time, even on the least sensitive trigger spot…
Darrin & Heather –
These work and they stay set. The trigger has just the right amount of sensitivity.

Hooked this guy first try. Right in the lip. Impressive little devil.

I was unsure about these, and thought they might rip the hook outta the fishes mouth, but, they worked! Just might get a few more.

I ABSOLUTELY Love these pole holders! I’ve had them for a couple months now, and used then about 8 or 10 times. I am using them on deep water/heavy current fishing in the Mississippi River. The are VERY capable of detecting and hooking fish. And Very LARGE fish as well. No need to sit right there and watch my pole. And have even left them out all night, and had a fish hooked still in the morning. The line pulls the trigger on the pole causing it to fly up and then it holds steady, not allowing any slack for the fish to get off. Great & Exciting way to fish!

Spare the rod… and miss a chance for landing a fish. I nearly lost a nice rod and reel trying to use more than one. The fish were biting – wasn’t expecting that. I was reeling in a fish when I looked over, saw my set up for the second rod fail and nearly lost my gear. This spring holder not only holds the rod, it sets the hook and holds until you can get to it.This design is the best of the others I’ve studied so I highly recommend this automatic spring fishing rod holder. Very effective and simple.

So using these for spring walleye on the Wisconsin River… with a egg sinker and floating jig. Walleye are slow obviously because water temp of course. The trigger isn’t sensitive enough for the bite. So I just check bait every 25 minutes or so. I would imagine they should trigger once the walleye become more active in their feeding, and now, they seem to just slowly inhale the minnows or just keep them in their mouths. The reviews of be careful… Poke your eye out… How did you make it this far in life? 😂 The product seems to do what it’s intended to do. Not as sensitive as my Finicky Foolers for ice fishing.

It seems like it is made very well 👍So far this contraption had one good chance to catch a fish but it didn’t trigger…. 🙂… I must incert this into the ground in a higher angle…. I will update…..

Can’t wait to use them
Richard Hildenbrand –
portable, easy to use
Anthony –
It¡®s very useful but there is two downside side one downside is the strap wears out to quickly and the last is can not find replacement straps.
Amazon Customer –
Works great
John Todd –
The spring is too weak to set the hook and the the shaft is to long. The reel is far away from the trigger mechanism it doesn’t set the hook.
Sheila Chavis Shaw –
Nice and sturdy. Caught a fish the first 45 minutes.
Darph Bobo –
These are sturdier than I had thought they might be. Can’t be used with long handled rods but has enough spring action to not only set the hook but put a welt on your face if your behind it when it goes off. Have bought another set of them.
Mario Bautista –
Muy buen producto y llego en tiempo y forma , una pieza excelente 👌

I saw a person using these while fishing so decided to purchase some and I am so glad I did They are amazing. If you get a fish they automatically snap up to let you know something took your bait, which is great especially when you have a lot of wind and sometimes it is hard to tell if it is the wind or a fish biting your line. The wind does not set these off only when you have a fish. The only draw back I have noticed is if the fish is really small sometimes it will not go off so you will have to check from time to time, but most of the time you can tell by watching your line.

They work very good got to catch a fish in a lake where in the past I couldn’t
Dorothy Leiker –
Did great catching a catfish with grandchild
Johnathan –
The part that sticks in the ground is not long enough and it doesn’t work well
Erick Varelas –
I dislike thatd you can’t put no heavy rods only small light rods or it won’t work
Jorge –
Works really good just wished the stake were a little longer
WVHomegirl –
I think I’m sending these back. My husband was so excited….but it lasted only a few hours. Not what he expected.
Felicia –
Amazing to have if you have kids and can’t pay attention to just your poles
Donald Bessard –
Good quality. Speedy delivery.
Athena –
Great at holding poles but not matter the sensitivity it just won’t trigger the spring action when a fish bites. Hubby is happy with it none the less so I’m happy.
Deborah Harris –
To low to the ground.
Charras22 –
Love it.
Phillip Reedy –
They work, but need modded. Drill out the rivets that attach the rod holder to the bottom section, replace with a bolt (reduce friction) remove the both the spring attaches to and the one that secures the section that goes into the ground. Relocate the spring to the bolt that secures the section that goes into the ground for extra “oomph” at hook-set. smooth/polish and lube the trigger sear, remove the spring that holds the latch and that helps reduce the friction on the trigger sear as well. When setting up, move the trigger forward till it’s right at the point where it breaks and wrap line from between the first and second eyes around the lowest point on the trigger. Carefully take up the slack and set back and wait. The gen1’s were a nice galvanized steel, the newer ones are flimsy and some kind of dull alloy. V2 is no where near as nice as the V1’s.

Would not trigger even with a decent sise fish on. Not recommended for fresh water fishing. Need a large fish to trigger it. Never had it work once fishing at camp. They are trow a way!

I’m impressed with the functionality and performance of these rod holders! Easy to set up and use, and have more than paid for themselves with the number of successful hits I get now. Traditional rod holders are fine, I still use them. However, having a rod holder that will also set the hook for you when the desired tension is on the line is indispensable! I definitely plan to buy another two, I wish I had these years ago!

Used them and was hopeful. Had a couple fire off/trigger from a bite with no hook set but that’s expected to happen sometimes but it did land me some nice fish and easily noticeable and makes noise due to it snapping and rod jumping so I could walk away and not care. FYI they are pretty powerful and have no problem setting the hook. Got myself once while messing with the line bent over behind it and a fish decided to bite at the same time so a heads up there
