      Bekith rod holders work just fine, but rattle a bit. Solved that problem using some plastic from a plastic bag. Now they don’t rattle and still rotate. Very easy to install.

      The pictures is misleading. You cannot mount the holders the way they are shown with the shank up. Other then that they look sturdy made.

      The versatile mounts allow for many possible mounting methods. If you mount to the inside of the hull, and raise the rod holder vertically, it is impossible for them to fall out because the removal keyway requires a 180 degree turn to remove. Solid and has positional positive locks.

      Easy to install. I have seen reviews that says people have lost rods with these. This can not happen if installed correctly. Make sure that when installed the holder pivots 90 to 180 degrees to the position you will be using them in. No way they can come out. I put two brackets in the front and two in the back so they can be moved around as I need them.

      If the T support is inverted , the rod holder swivel all over the place, will not lock in place. It should have treats on the other end of the adopter. The way is shown on the display, will not work properly, it will swivel all over the place. I had to drill a hole in the adopter and drive a pin to keep it in place. When I want to put it away, I just pull the pin out.

      This kit included everything needed for a flush mount or side mount. Unfortunately the top of my boat was too narrow for the flush mount so I had to use side mount. Bolts supplied were cheap and easily stripped out. I changed them out for 1/4″ coarse thread and used 1/4 lock buts. Everything is good now.

      Mounted mine today. The hole you’ll need to make to use this as a flush mount holder is larger than 1 inch. I don’t know the actual size since I just ran a smaller drill along the inside of the one inch hole I originally drilled to make it larger. Other than that a pretty easy install.

      These work just as well as the ones I already had on the boat (two of which my friend managed to drop into the river, grrr). HOWEVER – if you’re replacing lost ones, check the diameter of the shaft before you get these. I didn’t and it turns out the shafts are slightly smaller in diameter, meaning they’re useless in the bases secured to my boat. I’ll have to replace those with the bases supplied in this kit. Thus I’ll have two different sizes of rod holders and will need to keep track of which is which. Not a huge issue, just annoying.

      I expected to be able to use this on my kayak as shown in the first picture. It shows the flush mount facing up where it sticks up above the base, instead of having to drill and mount the base flush. This pretty much made me not want to use them on my kayak. I still may mount one on the rail of my boat, but if I drill the hole to flush mount this on my kayak, without the rod holder in place, it will allow water to drain through the flush mount inside my sit on top. I am thinking about gluing something to the bottom of the flush mount to keep this from happening, but I was really hoping to use the mount upside down with the tall end pointing up.

      GREAT price! you can’t buy one of these in any store for this price and they are ALL the same quality and design! They work exactly as they are intended. I have 6 rail mounted across the back of my lake troller and none have failed. Although the locking teeth that hold it into the base are not very tight when transit motoring, I haven’t lost one yet. Sometimes they will bobble around when running fast over waves when empty, they stay in the slot. Angle adjustability is not infinite due to the size of the locking teeth. Hard and durable ABS. LOVE that they come with both the rail mount and surface mount. Would definately buy more if I had more rails.

      If you want to use them properly you would have to drill a pretty good size hole to slide the center base part down so you can screw the base down and use it the way it was designed the way the picture shows it just spins in 360°without anything holding it still

      Yes, these are certainly no Scottys.I got these to add DIY outriggers to my kayak(attaching the PVC to these rid holders and lowering them into the water prn).You can solve the open bottom by getting a couple of 1¼” PVC caps and gluing them into the bottom of these holders.Bob’s-Your-Uncle.

      Worked well on my bow rail. I troll for walleye often times by myself and cant always keep an eye on my rods. By placing these rod holders on the bow rails I can operate the boat and watch the rods for strikes. The only con is that the holder does not lock into the base, so it can be pulled out easily.

      These fit the bill for the kind of fishing I plan to do. Maybe not sturdy enough for some types of saltwater fishing but I believe they will be fine for the bass and crappie fishing in local lakes that I do.I did not like the fact that they are not made to swivel on a horizontal plane but only vertically. This was easy to fix with a dremel (or round file would do). To explain, there is a groove in the shaft that mates up with a raised portion inside the base that the shaft fits into. Once in place, it is locked horizontally. By removing the raised nib, you can raise the holder up out of the base a half inch or so, rotate it to the desired position and drop it back down. This seems so obvious that I have to think that it was just an oversight.I haven’t used them on my boat yet but I do not foresee any issues with them.

      Not sure that these are designed for the show Wicked Tuna as some people say they are not very substantial but I have hung up while trolling with no problems! My only complaint is that they did not fit my pontoon rails as I thought they would. These are designed for round rails and I have square but I got them to work. My only complaint is they are VERY low profile and need a clear area at the butt of your rod.

      Received the holders and found one of them broken. They use a brittle and unforgiving plastic unlike the more expensive versions. I know this because I removed some old rod holder mounts and they were definitely more like a hard rubber. The cylinder where you insert the rod has sharp flashings on someof the edges which immediately started shaving cork off my rod handle. Lastly these are designed for pretty hefty and long rods. I fish with light and ultra lite rods and the butt end of the handle isn’t long enough to catch the lower end of the holder. The mounting screws are as small as they could get away with and one of them had an unusable Phillips slot so it wouldn’t work with a Phillips driver. I’m a McGuyver type so I made it work. They’re pretty easy to position and mount and seem durable enough for my use trolling for 12�stocked trout. I would be leery of them for any fish over a few pounds. I’m keeping them because a. I’m cheap b. I lightly filed off the flashing c. I wrapped gorilla tape around the lower end of holder to make a ring of sorts so my rod won’t pop out and d. I’m cheap. Did I mention I’m cheap?

      Easy to install. Love it. Simple. Looks great on my kayak. Love the fact that i can take it out an put it on another mount i stalled on the dock.Mounting options is where i was sold.The rod lock is great but not really needed unless you flip a kayak.
